Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with strong customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. As a cashier, you will oversee the front counter POS (register) terminal. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cash handling, bagging purchased merchandise, greeting customers, answering telephones, managing sales associates via the PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness of displayed merchandise. Your goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Basic organizational and math skills
3. Upon accepting a position, candidate will be subject to E-Verify
4. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
