Job summary

Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation in Long Beach, CA is seeking a friendly cashier to join our neighborhood team. You will operate and manage the front counter POS system, greet customers, and help ensure a smooth, enjoyable shopping experience for everyone entering the store.

Primary duties include handling cash, bagging purchases, directing sales associates via PA, answering inquiries, recommending products and add-ons, keeping the sales floor clean and stocked, and performing other duties as

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic organizational and math skills.
• Detail-oriented and reliable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus.
• Upon accepting a position offered, candidate will be subject to E-Verify.
• Light to moderate lifting may be required.

Role Overview
