Job summary

Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation in California is hiring a part-time cashier to provide friendly, efficient service at the front counter. You will operate the POS system, greet customers, and help maintain a welcoming shopping environment.

Key tasks include handling cash, answering questions, suggesting add-on sales, stocking the floor, and coordinating with store staff. Prior retail exposure and a positive attitude are a plus; must be able to lift light to moderate loads.

Role Overview

Cashiers play a key role in delivering outstanding customer experience. The primary responsibilities include operating and managing the front counter point-of-sale (POS) system while ensuring asmoothpleasant shopping experience for every customer.
