Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, with a solid customer service background or relevant educational experience. Cashiers are responsible for managing the front counter POS (register) terminal, handling cash transactions, bagging merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor. Ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers is a key responsibility.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Basic organizational and/or math skills
3. Acceptance of employment is subject to E-Verify
4. Ability to lift light to moderate loads, with or without accommodation
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
