Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with strong customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. As a cashier, you will oversee the front counter POS (register) terminal. Additional responsibilities include cash handling, bagging purchased merchandise, greeting customers, answering telephones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness and display of merchandise on the sales floor. Your goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must possess basic organizational and/or math skills
3. Upon accepting a position, candidate will be subject to E-Verify
4. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Must have effective communication and interaction skills
