Job summary

Jacksons is hiring a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly checkout experience and help keep the store stocked and inviting. You will greet customers, ring up purchases, and promote current sales while maintaining clean and organized spaces. The role is part-time with a 2:00 p.m.

to 10:00 p.m. shift, including weekends and holidays. Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.

Qualifications

• Stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
• Retail/cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.

• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Good quick thinking, adaptability, and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
• Promote sales and specials to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately, including alcohol and tobacco with age verification.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and outside, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with organized products.
• Assist in foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 an hour.

Shift: part-time 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. including weekends and holidays.

Must be 21 years old to work in this role.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
