Job summary

Jacksons in Puyallup, WA is hiring a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate. You’ll ring up orders quickly, greet customers, stock shelves, and keep the store clean while delivering friendly service. Part-time shifts between 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to work with regulated products.
• Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Retail, cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Deliver fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
• Promote current sales and specials; upsell to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately, including alcohol and tobacco sales meeting age requirements.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and outside, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with organized products.
• Assist in foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 an hour.

Shift: part-time shifts between 8:00 a.m. and midnight.

Must be 21 years old to work in this role.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Our stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Quick thinking, adaptable, and dependable.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
