Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is hiring a part-time Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate in Sandy, UT. You will greet customers, handle fast checkout, stock shelves, and keep the store clean with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Stores operate 24/7; candidates must have flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude are essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Deliver a fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
• Promote current sales and specials and suggestively upsell to improve customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately, including alcohol and tobacco with age verification.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and outside, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh products.
• Assist foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

Shift: part-time 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Must be 21 years old to work in this role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly attitude.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Our stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• A commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Quick thinking, adaptable, and dependable.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
