Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is hiring a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate in Salt Lake City. You will greet customers, run fast and accurate checkouts, promote sales, and help keep the store clean and welcoming.

Training and growth opportunities are available in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a 21+ age minimum and flexible availability for a 24/7 operation. Prior retail or cashier experience is a plus but not required; strong communication and a friendly attitude are

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Deliver a fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
• Promote current sales and suggestively sell to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately, including alcohol and tobacco per legal age rules.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and outside, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh, organized products.
• Assist in foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

• Must be 21 years old to work in this role.

• Quick thinking, adaptable, and dependable.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
