Job summary

ExtraMile by Jacksons in Centerville, UT is hiring a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate for a part-time shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. You will greet customers, handle fast, accurate checkouts, and keep the store clean and well-stocked while promoting current sales.

Earn $15.50 per hour with benefits like same-day pay, fuel discount, employee discount, overnight shift premium, profit sharing, advancement opportunities, and a 401(k) match. Tuition reimbursement is also offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Retail, cashier or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Commitment to outstanding customer experiences and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Deliver fast, accurate, and professional checkout experiences.
• Promote current sales and suggestively upsell to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately, including alcohol and tobacco with age checks.
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh products.
• Assist foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support teammates and perform additional duties as assigned.

Shift: part-time 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements for regulated product sales.
• Our stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
