Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is hiring a Cashier to deliver a high-quality shopping experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and processing transactions. You will support loyalty programs, protect store assets, and work with teammates to ensure smooth Front-End operations.

The role emphasizes product knowledge, friendly service, and adherence to procedures while fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for customers and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with established Front-End procedures.
• Promote company programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
