Job summary

Marion Goodwill Industries is seeking a friendly cashier to ensure a positive shopping experience at our East Marion store. You will handle transactions and assist customers while supporting our mission-driven programs.

This role emphasizes reliable service, teamwork, and opportunities for growth and training within a community-focused nonprofit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus (6 months preferred).
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a prompt, courteous manner (in person and by phone).
• Operate the register to process transactions accurately, including discounts.
• Promote Goodwill’s “Change Round Up” program to fuel community impact.
• Keep the checkout area and front of store clean and organized.
• Bag and wrap merchandise with care.
• Assist with merchandise displays, stocking, and returns to the sales floor.
• Support store promotions, signage, and seasonal campaigns.
• Contribute to store safety, security, and team goals.
• Provide support in training new cashiers as needed.
