Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores, Inc. is hiring a Retail Cashier / Customer Service Associate in Utah. You will greet customers, process transactions at the register, and help keep the store stocked, clean, and welcoming.

The role offers part-time hours with a Saturday and Sunday shift from 4:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and includes benefits such as same-day pay, employee discount, and opportunities for advancement. You must be at least 21 and ready to join a friendly, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to meet legal age requirements.
• Store operates 24/7; flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Retail, cashier, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude are essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a warm smile and friendly attitude.
• Deliver a fast, accurate, and professional checkout experience.
• Promote current sales, specials, and suggestively sell to enhance customer experience.
• Process transactions accurately and responsibly, including alcohol and tobacco sales (must meet legal age requirements).
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including fuel islands.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with fresh and organized products.
• Assist in maintaining foodservice and coffee areas, including cleaning and restocking.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.
• Support team members and complete additional duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 an hour.

• Our stores require flexible availability for a 24/7 operation (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.

• Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
• Quick thinking, adaptable, and dependable.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for an extended period.
• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
