MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Retail Cashier at our Florissant store - Hwy 67. The role supports our mission and values while providing friendly, efficient service to customers.

Hourly Full-Time position with a starting hourly rate of $15.50, plus a monthly bonus potential up to $250. Excellent benefits available for full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, PTO, and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• No degree required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Strong communication with customers, coworkers and management.
• Must be organized and able to work with a diverse team.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsabilités

• Greet customers and assist on the sales floor; answer phone with a professional greeting.
• Operate the store cash register; handle cash, card transactions and returns; balance cash register.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of store area.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, or customer complaints.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safe, hazard-free work environment.
• Build positive relationships with team members and leadership and coordinate with other teams.
• Adopt safe work practices and keep aisles clear.
• Present professional appearance per dress code.
• Protect agency assets and report theft or unauthorized possession.
• Adhere to all policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Make customers a priority by greeting and acknowledging them as they enter the store, helping on the sales floor, and answering the phone within three rings with a professional greeting.
• Operates the store cash register: cash handling credit card transactions, appropriate discount returns, and cash register balancing.
• Stocks straighten, rotate, and maintain the cleanliness of the entire store area efficiently and to standard.
• Request assistance from managers for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Upholds store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
• Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation.
• Contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus up to $250.00
• Individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
• Individual and family dental and vision benefits on the first of the month following the hire date for employees working 20 or more hours week.
