Position: Hardware --- Cashier

Located near San Francisco, California, in the Delta region, our store generates approximately 8 million in revenue with 50 employee associates. We take pride in building relationships with our customers through our knowledgeable sales staff and first-class customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the Cashier position is to provide helpful customer service, process sales transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and be proficient with Point of Sale (POS) register operations.

The Cashier is expected to:

1. Positively represent Brentwood Ace Hardware through excellent Customer Service.
2. Present a pleasant and professional appearance based on Ace standards.
3. Greet each customer as they enter the store.
4. Answer incoming phone calls.
5. Be pleasant and tactful with each customer interaction.
6. Promote Ace Rewards Program.
7. Be aware and knowledgeable of all store promotions, advertisements, and sales.
8. Show proficiency and accuracy with money handling and cash transactions.
9. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers accurately.
10. Help maintain product/merchandise and cleanliness in the register area.
11. Be proficient with the POS program system.
12. Accurately report/deposit daily sales.
13. Have a general knowledge of product locations in the store.

Requirements:

1. Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
2. Ability to stand and move for an extended period of time.
3. Background check with Credential Check, a Professional screening service.
4. Drug test; hair and urine within 24 hours of job offering.
