Job summary

ExtraMile Convenience Stores is hiring a part-time Retail Cashier to greet customers, ring up sales, and help with stocking and store upkeep. You will provide fast, friendly checkout experiences and promote store specials while following policies on restricted products.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and thank them for their business.
• Provide fast, friendly, and professional checkout experiences.
• Promote store specials and suggest additional purchases.
• Ring up sales accurately and follow all company policies (alcohol/tobacco).
• Maintain store cleanliness, inside and out.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking the food service area.
• Follow food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Rotate and properly label inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
