Uptown Cheapskate Charlottesville is hiring a Buyer to engage with customers, price and buy clothing, and help drive store aesthetics. The role emphasizes high energy, teamwork, and exceptional customer service without requiring prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Select and price clothing from customers for the store, impacting inventory.

• Style displays and manage store visuals to attract customers.
• Operate cash register and complete transactions including trade-ins.
• Tag and sort clothing for resale, ensuring items are ready for sale.
• Provide top-notch customer service and assist with special projects.

As a Buyer, no two days are the same, but most days will include the following responsibilities:

• Selecting and pricing a wide variety of quality, on-trend clothing directly from customers for the store. You’ll impact your store’s inventory daily!


• Keeping your knowledge of current fashions, brands, and price points up to date.


• Styling displays and store visuals. Let your creativity shine!


• Operating our cash register by ringing up customers with cash and trade.


• Tagging and sorting clothing so it’s ready for its new home.


• Providing top-notch customer service. We go above and beyond for our clientele!


• Special projects and lots more!

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time or Part-Time, with availability needed from Monday through Sunday. We have flexible schedules.
