Overview:

The Bike Technician role is focused on providing a differentiated customer experience for cyclists. Responsibilities include building and repairing bicycles according to established procedures, and offering product recommendations based on personal experience, industry research, and trends.

  1. Create a world-class customer experience through passionate customer service and engagement, especially in the Bike Department.
  2. Uphold merchandise presentation standards.
  3. Interact genuinely with customers to demonstrate passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment to their sport or activity.
  4. Promote company programs such as warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
  5. Achieve sales goals by selling bikes and related merchandise.
  6. Build and repair bikes following established procedures; assist with assembling exercise equipment as needed.
  7. Maintain merchandise presentation and signage standards in the Bike Department.
  8. Follow safety, loss prevention, and operational policies; maintain confidentiality of company information.
  9. Support the team across the store as needed.
  10. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work extended periods (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
