Paris Baguette Pittsburgh (North Hills) is seeking friendly Retail Barista & Customer Service Associates to join our neighborhood bakery café. You'll welcome guests, prepare beverages, assist with orders, and maintain attractive displays so every guest feels valued.

Shifts run mornings and evenings, with paid training, opportunities for advancement, and earnings potential that includes tips—starting at $14.00 per hour plus tips and often reaching $18–$20 per hour depending on volume.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, barista, restaurant, or customer-service experience preferred.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred.
• Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service to every guest.
• Greet guests, answer menu questions and provide recommendations.
• Take orders and operate the POS accurately.
• Prepare coffee, espresso drinks and other beverages to Paris Baguette standards.
• Maintain pastry, cake, beverage, and retail displays.
• Check product quality, freshness, presentation, and rotation.
• Keep counters, displays, and guest areas clean and organized.
• Restock supplies during slower periods.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Support teammates during busy periods.
• Follow all food-safety, cleanliness, and service standards.
• Monitor inventory and restock as needed; FIFO rotation.
• Keep storage areas organized and report low stock.

Position Overview:

We are looking for friendly, energetic, and dependable Retail Barista & Customer Service Associates to join our team.

Our Retailers are the face of Paris Baguette. You'll welcome guests, prepare beverages, assist with orders, maintain beautiful product displays, and help keep our café clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready.

Timings

Morning/Opening: 5:30 AM–2:00 PM

Evening/Closing: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and professional customer service to every guest.
• Greet guests with a smile and assist them with menu questions and recommendations.
• Take orders and accurately operate the POS system.
• Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, and other drinks according to Paris Baguette standards.
• Maintain and refill pastry, cake, beverage, and retail displays.
• Check product quality, freshness, presentation, and proper rotation.
• Keep counters, tables, displays, beverage stations, and guest areas clean and organized.
• Restock supplies during slower periods so the team is prepared for busy periods.
• Handle cash and credit-card transactions accurately.
• Work efficiently and support fellow team members during busy periods.
• Follow all Paris Baguette food-safety, uniform, cleanliness, and customer-service standards.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Follow FIFO and proper product rotation.
• Keep storage and inventory areas organized.
• Report low-stock, damaged, or expired items to management.
