Job summary

express mart Sunrise Beach is hiring a Team Member (Customer Service Representative) to greet customers, operate the register, and keep the store tidy. You will handle cash transactions, assist with merchandising, and follow food service guidelines while delivering friendly service.

This role offers day, evening, and overnight shifts, with opportunities to advance and participate in benefits and a 401k plan for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in operating cash registers.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures is a plus.
• Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter the gas station and assist as needed.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain an organized store environment, including restocking shelves, display maintenance, store housekeeping, and floor moves.
• Maintain a clean store by cleaning countertops, fuel pumps, bathrooms, and disposing of trash.
• Uphold all food service guidelines when serving food.
• Ongoing promotion awareness and product knowledge.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and customer service standards.
• Practice safety with attention to spills, proper lifting techniques, and immediately reporting incidents to management.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
