Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Produce Clerk at our Sussex, WI store location. You will stock deli items, assist customers with special orders, and ensure high-quality customer service while maintaining food safety standards.

You will stock cases, manage inventory, and keep work areas sanitized. Shifts include overnight and afternoon hours, with weekend availability required to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Adequate knowledge of computer systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

In this position you will provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders while you provide our customers with exceptional customer service. You will stock cases and ensure that our customers have a variety of high-quality deli items to choose from. You will ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will clean and sanitize dishes, food preparation areas, and equipment.

Shifts available Overnight 10 PM - 6:30 AM

Shifts available 1:30 PM - 10 PM

WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED

What will you be doing?

• You will stock food shelves with a variety of products.
• Pull back stock and trash to the back room to the correct areas.
• Work with management to ensure correct areas are stocked in a timely fashion.
• Rotating and culling items based on dates
• Utilize equipment such as powered hand jack, pallet jack, or forklift
• Assist with department inventories
• Ensure quality service and products for customers by following safety and sanitation procedures.
• Respond to customer questions in an effective and efficient.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Build trustful relationships with customers to encourage return visits.
• Stock product and product displays according to merchandising standards.

What skills will you use?

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• You have adequate knowledge of computer systems and is comfortable using them.
• You are process driven and has ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.
• Ability to stay calm while working in a fast-paced environment.
