Job summary

TESO Group in Overland Park is seeking a Retail Associate (Full-Time) to support merchandising, replenishment, pricing, and customer service in our Overland Park store.

Under supervision, you will maintain displays, assist customers, clock in/out, assist with receiving, and report issues. Previous retail experience is preferred; training is available. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma / vocational secondary school or above.
• Experience in retail or related service industries preferred; training may be provided.
• Knowledge of merchandising, replenishment, price labels, expiration management.
• Strong execution, responsibility, service orientation, attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance; wear uniform, badge, and tools.

Position Overview

Store Staff are frontline store employees primarily responsible for merchandising, replenishment and product organization, price labels, area cleanliness, customer service, receiving support, stockroom organization, Tester / sample / display-material management, work records, and issue reporting within their assigned area.

Under the direction of the Team Leader, Assistant Store Manager, and Store Manager, Store Staff complete daily tasks according to Company standards to ensure merchandise is neatly displayed, pricing is accurate, replenishment is timely, the area is clean, service is friendly, and issues are promptly reported.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance; wear the required uniform, name badge, and work tools.
• Remain focused on job responsibilities during working hours. Do not use a mobile phone on the sales floor, gather for non-work conversations, leave the assigned post without authorization, or otherwise negatively affect the customer experience.
• Clock in/out, complete shift handoffs, and complete the Daily Work Process Form as required.
• Customer Service & Basic Assistance
• Proactively greet customers with a smile and provide friendly service.
• When customers ask about products, guide them to the appropriate shelf and provide a basic introduction. If an item is unavailable, explain politely and notify the Team Lead.
• Promptly elevate complaints, returns/exchanges, negative feedback, or issues that cannot be resolved.
• Complete product shelving, front-facing, categorized merchandising, display organization, and shelf maintenance within the assigned area.
• Replenish and organize products as required, keeping shelves full and orderly, price labels correctly matched, and aisles clear.
• Return unwanted customer merchandise to the appropriate category/location or transfer it to the responsible area; do not leave merchandise piled or unattended.
• Check for near-expiration, expired, damaged, swollen, spoiled, improperly packaged, or otherwise unsellable products.
• Maintain price labels, promotional labels, and POP materials; promptly report pricing discrepancies or label errors.
• Assist with shrink records, receiving exception records, and corrective-action feedback.
• Area Cleanliness & Receiving Support
• Maintain basic cleanliness of floors, shelves, price strips, shelf guards, promotional displays, display areas, and equipment within the assigned area.
• Assist with receiving, moving, sorting, shelving, stockroom organization, locating products, inventory counts, and returning materials to their proper locations.
• Promptly report equipment, stockroom, merchandise, or safety exceptions to the Team Leader or Store Manager.
• Tester / Sample / Material Management
• Maintain Testers, samples, trial-size products, display props, promotional gifts, and related materials as required.
• Promptly report missing, damaged, contaminated, expired, poorly labeled, or improperly displayed items.
• Do not remove, give away, sell, open, exchange, or improperly dispose of Company property without authorization.

Qualifications

• Education : High school diploma / vocational secondary school or above.
• Professional Experience : Experience in retail, supermarkets, convenience stores, beauty, collectible/toy retail, lifestyle retail, or service industries is preferred; candidates without experience may be trained.
• Knowledge & Skills : Familiar with or willing to learn product merchandising, replenishment and recovery, price labels, expiration management, customer service, cleanliness, receiving organization, and basic work records.
• Core Competencies : Strong execution and sense of responsibility, good service and attention to detail, and effective communication and teamwork skills.
