Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an associate to act as the point of contact for customers, assist in stocking and plan-o-grams, and help maintain merchandising. You will ensure shelves are stocked, help customers locate products, and operate the checkout to process purchases.

This role requires basic math, cash handling, and strong communication. You will follow store procedures, unload trucks, build displays, and maintain a clean, safe store environment to support profitability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or display on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Greet customers and operate the checkout to total purchases and bag items.
• Collect payment from customers and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Maintain store cleanliness including front end and restrooms.
