Position Overview

The Retail Associate plays a vital role at Valley Wide Cooperative, responsible for billing, payment functions, and delivering excellent customer service. The role requires adherence to standard operating procedures and completing necessary training to progress from tier I to tier II.

Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 9:00 pm to 5:30 am.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete Tier II training.
2. Greet all customers, employees, and vendors professionally.
3. Assist customers with transactions, including purchases and returns.
4. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock shelves efficiently.
5. Manage multiple phone lines.
6. Support other team members as needed.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to obtain propane certification upon hire.
• Friendly and appropriate interaction with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proper telephone etiquette skills.
• Strong team player attitude.
• Proficiency in handling cash, giving change, and recording transactions accurately.
