General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate performs a range of tasks as assigned during all working hours and may be asked to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Understand that safety is the top priority and practice safe behaviors.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to create a safe shopping environment, keep exits clear, and report unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions politely, and greet customers regularly.
• Respond promptly to Customer service needs and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support the Company brand at all times.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain the store environment.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Ensure the store is organized and merchandise is well-presented.
• Expedite merchandise receipts to the sales floor and maintain familiarity with products.
• Follow loss prevention and merchandise protection standards.
• Handle cash and transactions accurately and securely.
• Work efficiently, minimizing steps and touches to maximize productivity.

Physical Requirements / ADA

• Use of store equipment including registers and PCs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and carry/lift more than 25 pounds.
• Use of janitorial and store equipment.
• Specific requirements for Stockroom shifts include lifting more than 20 pounds regularly.
