General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers courteously, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The role involves performing various functions across store areas based on business needs, with additional tasks as required to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors at all times.
• Create a safe shopping environment by maintaining awareness, keeping exits clear, and reporting hazards.
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers and colleagues, recognizing fellow associates.
• Assist customers with merchandise, operate registers, and answer questions politely and knowledgeably.
• Respond promptly to customer service needs and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support the company's brand and uphold integrity and honesty in all interactions.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, organized store.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain professional appearance.
• Conduct daily recovery and merchandising to standards, ensuring a neat store environment.
• Expedite merchandise receipts to the sales floor, maintaining familiarity with products to assist customers.
• Understand loss prevention and merchandise protection standards.
• Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
• Follow policies on stock management, transactions, and cash handling.
• Work efficiently, minimizing steps and touches to maximize productivity.

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Ability to operate store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds, especially in stockroom shifts.
