General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting and assisting them courteously, maintaining a clean and organized store, and supporting merchandise presentation. The role involves performing various tasks across the store as needed, including additional duties to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor, ensure clear egress, and report unsafe conditions.
• Greet customers with eye contact, smiles, and courtesy; assist with merchandise and questions.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and resolve issues courteously, involving management when necessary.
• Support company branding and perform cleaning tasks to uphold store standards.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ensure merchandise is well-organized and replenished efficiently.
• Handle merchandise receipts and loss prevention policies appropriately.
• Follow cash handling procedures accurately and demonstrate a sense of urgency in role execution.

Qualifications And Skills

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to use store equipment and spend up to 100% of time standing, walking, and moving.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
• Ability to lift over 25 pounds occasionally.
• For Stockroom shifts, ability to lift over 20 pounds regularly.
