General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting all Customers courteously, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The role involves engaging in assigned tasks during all working hours and performing a range of functions in different store areas as needed. Additional tasks may be assigned to help achieve Customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment, keep exits clear, and report unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; be friendly and professional.
• Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide prompt service.
• Represent and support the Company brand consistently.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ensure store is neat, organized, and well-merchandised according to standards.
• Expedite merchandise to the sales floor and assist with merchandise presentation.
• Understand loss prevention policies and safeguard confidential information.
• Follow policies for transactions and cash handling with accuracy.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to maximize productivity.

Qualifications And Skills

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Ability to use store equipment and spend up to 100% of time standing, walking, and moving.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
• For Stockroom shifts: ability to push, pull, and lift over 20 pounds regularly.
