General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers courteously, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store functions as needed. Flexibility to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals is expected.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a safe shopping environment, report unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers, operate registers, answer questions politely, and greet customers throughout the store.
• Respond promptly to Customer service calls and resolve issues courteously, involving leadership when necessary.
• Support the Company brand at all times.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain store cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Manage merchandise recovery and presentation to keep the store organized and appealing.
• Expedite merchandise receipts to the sales floor, maintain familiarity with products, and assist customers accordingly.
• Follow Loss Prevention protocols and safeguard confidential information.
• Follow policies regarding stock management, cash handling, and transactions with accuracy and integrity.
• Work efficiently, minimizing steps and touches to maximize productivity.

Physical Requirements / ADA

• Ability to use all store equipment, including registers and PCs.
• Stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
• Lift and push/pull over 25 pounds occasionally; stockroom shifts may require lifting over 20 pounds.
• Use janitorial and store equipment as needed.
