ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our associates are essential to our business. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our company, brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve consumers and share product information to help them find products that match their needs. Retail Associates support the flow of products into the store and onto the sales floor to ensure product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient process execution and assist the Store Leadership Team in supporting our mission.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store and visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards; restock the sales floor from stock room and inventory locations.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) efficiently and accurately; connect consumers to loyalty programs.
• Contribute to store profitability by accurately receiving and processing incoming and outgoing products.
• Serve consumers by responding to questions about product features, benefits, and availability; understand consumer needs and assist with buying decisions. Support company values to enhance the customer experience and teamwork.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations effectively.

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Up to 2 years of experience in a related position or field.
• Experience interacting with and serving consumers.
• Skill operating inventory and Point of Sale (POS) systems, and other retail software tools.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

JOB CONDITIONS

• Active environment requiring constant movement; may involve physical exertion and handling items weighing up to 40 lbs., exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional work in different locations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with others.
• Flexible schedule availability, which may change seasonally or based on business needs, adhering to all legal requirements.
