General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers courteously, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The role involves performing various tasks across store areas as needed, including additional duties to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety, practicing safe behaviors at all times.
• Create a safe shopping environment by maintaining awareness, keeping exits clear, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers with merchandise, questions, and transactions courteously and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to customer service needs and escalate issues as necessary.
• Support the Company brand at all times.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene and store appearance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Ensure store is organized and merchandised according to standards, including timely processing of new merchandise.
• Understand loss prevention policies and safeguard store assets.
• Follow policies regarding transactions, cash handling, and inventory management.
• Work efficiently, minimizing steps to maximize productivity.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to operate store equipment, including registers and PCs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly; over 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in various store environments, including stockrooms and high-touch areas.
