Overview
Our retail Assistant Store Manager (ASM) plays a vital role in delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The ASM collaborates closely with the Store Manager (SM) and company management to oversee, maintain, and supervise daily retail operations at the store location.
Responsibilities
Support for Sales Associates:
- Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
- Provide support and constructive feedback to help team members grow professionally.
- Assist with work procedures and policies to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Follow SOPs and ensure team adherence to policies and regulations.
- Be accessible and responsive to team questions, suggestions, and concerns, and help resolve conflicts.
- Lead by example and work collaboratively with staff to handle high-volume store situations.
Sales and Customer Service:
- Utilize customer and team feedback to improve the shopping experience.
- Monitor daily sales performance to ensure targets are met.
Daily Store Operations:
- Ensure store compliance with all regulations and organize reporting and documentation.
- Assist with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
- Perform opening and closing procedures daily.
- Maintain stock levels on the sales floor.
- Coordinate inventory audits and reconciliations with management.
- Log and dispose of expired/damaged/returned products according to regulations.
- Assist with receiving and verifying deliveries.
- Maintain communication through email and logs with team members.
- Comply with HR policies, including confidentiality.
- Keep the work environment clean and organized.
Qualifications
- CannSell license from AGCO.
- Clean criminal background check.
- 4-5+ years of retail management experience.
- Ability to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO within the first month.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in a Unionized environment.
- Knowledge of Cannabis plants, strains, and retail standards set by AGCO.
- Understanding of local and state cannabis laws and regulations.
- Achievement-oriented, organized, flexible, and empathetic.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong leader.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends, and at various locations.
