POSITION: ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

As an enthusiastic and hardworking Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with the Store Manager in daily store operations.
  • Managing store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Providing coaching, training, and development for store employees.
  • Maintaining good relations with customers, donors, and the community; resolving complaints efficiently.
  • Communicating personnel issues to management; issuing disciplinary warnings, conducting employee evaluations, and setting goals in coordination with HR and District Sales Manager.
  • Maintaining store standards, inventory levels, and back room processing efficiency.
  • Safeguarding cash and banking procedures.
  • Ensuring safety measures and loss prevention protocols are followed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years retail management or supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in POS and cash handling operations.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks including criminal and sex offender registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and work with or without reasonable accommodations.

SCHEDULE

Stores operate 7 days a week. Schedules are flexible, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may be scheduled for any shift.
