Job description

We are currently looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

$18.00 to $21.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process!

Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $6.33 per hour ON TOP OF YOUR HOURLY RATE.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and promoting a positive/productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit, and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager:

  1. Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  2. Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards.
  3. Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
  4. Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise.
  5. Ensure asset protection through inventory control and securing customer loans.
  6. Administer processes and procedures within the store.
  7. Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability.
  8. Ensure that operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards.
  9. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes.
  10. Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  11. Communicate clearly with employees regarding the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  12. Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  13. Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  14. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods of time.
  2. Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  3. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  4. Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  5. Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  6. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  7. Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  8. Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule.
  9. 40+ hours a week based on business needs.
  10. Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  11. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  13. Cash handling experience is required.
  14. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  15. Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission Plan Information:

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance.
