YOUR MISSION
- Responsible for ensuring the Store consistently achieves or exceeds sales, KPIs, and profitability goals through effective short and long-term planning, expense control, sales, and service.
- Guarantee high standards of customer experience within the Store in accordance with PUMA's Brand Values and service standards.
- Assist the Store Manager with recruiting, training, developing, and succession planning for high-performing, results-driven Associates and Supervisors.
- Spend 90% of working time on the sales floor engaging with consumers, selling, and coaching employees.
- Act as the Store Manager when the Store Manager is absent.
- Help prepare and administer performance appraisals.
- Manage payroll control and service-driven scheduling to maintain profitability while providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure the successful completion of required training programs, both Domestic and Global, to drive results.
- Analyze customer profiles, buying trends, and competitive information to impact and drive business.
- Oversee Loss Prevention education and awareness programs and ensure operational compliance.
- Manage inventory and shrink goals, oversee physical inventory counts.
- Responsible for merchandise processing and communicating merchandise opportunities to the Store Manager.
- Assist in executing marketing initiatives and events within budget and policy guidelines.
- Develop relationships with local PR and marketing teams.
- Attend offsite training and meetings as required; travel may be involved.
- Handle sales transactions accurately, including refunds and exchanges, adhering to policies.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained.
- Maintain store cleanliness and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
- Comply with all policies, operational standards, and safety regulations.
- Work non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; overtime may be required.
YOUR TALENT
- 2-4 years of management experience in a customer service-oriented retail environment, preferably apparel/footwear, with a results-driven record.
- Proven ability to exceed sales, meet payroll goals, and develop top talent.
- Ability to walk and move frequently, including standing, reaching, bending, and climbing; experience with ladder use is required.
- Physical ability to push/pull equipment, lift/carry up to 30 pounds, and work at heights.
- Critical senses include speaking, hearing, near & far acuity, and vision.
- Strong cognitive skills: reading, basic math, problem-solving, and computer literacy.
