Job summary

Russell Stover Chocolates is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead our Bluffton retail shop, helping deliver exceptional customer experiences while overseeing daily operations and staff development. You will report to the Training Manager and Team Leader of Retail Shops, ensuring strong merchandising and efficient store performance.

In this role you will recruit, coach, and supervise associates, manage schedules, and coordinate in-house production of confection items.

Qualifications

• 3 years of prior retail management experience.
• Customer service and selling experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using an email service.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 5 lbs. with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to constantly stand, bend, reach and work with your hands.

A Day in the Life

The Assistant Store Manager, you will be working in an environment unlike most others. It is a destination for consumers looking to purchase an off the shelf or customized gift for someone special. It is an experience for those wanting to treat themselves and their families to our in‑store made fudge, caramel apples and hot fudge sundaes. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operations and overall care of staff and will be directly reporting to your Training Manager and Team Leader of Retail Shops.

What You Will Be Doing

• Supervising, leading, and motivating employees

• Unloading, receive, and stock merchandise
• Preparing and supervising the regular in‑house production of a variety of confection items made locally in our candy kitchen
• Displaying an excellent customer service driven attitude.
• Performing back office duties using a PC

Basic Qualifications

• 3 years of prior retail management experience
• Customer service and selling experience
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience using an email service
• Ability to frequently lift up to 5 lbs. with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to constantly stand, bend, reach and work with your hands
