Job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Director to join our Dallas team. In this key leadership role, you will manage daily store operations, support and develop team members, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. You will also assume full responsibility in the absence of the Store Director.

Responsibilities
  • Actively support sales floor management and team leadership to help achieve store sales and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Oversee the front desk, shipping and receiving, alterations, store support associates, and facility maintenance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for operational issues with landlords, contract workers, and IT support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve POS and other IT‑related operational issues.
  • Maintain supply inventory, order supplies, and manage expense controls.
  • Ensure accurate opening and closing procedures, including alarm system and access card management.
  • Process invoices and receipts, and provide monthly reconciliation reporting to Accounting.
  • Support inventory management, shrinkage control, and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Assist with coordinating quarterly physical inventory counts and tracking and reconciling all inventory adjustments.
  • Manage daily e‑commerce orders, packing, shipping, and maintain communication with fulfillment associates.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving of merchandise, including trunk shows, transfers, and RTVs.
  • Communicate with the buying office on merchandise receipts, markdowns, and ticketing issues.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and schedule associates; conduct performance reviews and support onboarding.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members for professional growth.
  • Ensure every customer receives outstanding service and resolve any customer issues promptly.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in retail sales and management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to coach, train, and resolve customer service issues.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-focused.
  • Proficient with computers and retail technology.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and store events.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Flexibility including bending, stretching, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move or carry product.
  • Visual acuity for computer work and merchandise handling.
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • Work environment is usually quiet to moderate in noise level.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
