Job Summary:

This role involves maintaining a high-energy, positive environment that consistently demonstrates behaviors supporting client-centric service. The Assistant Salon Director drives store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This person manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leads by example, and fosters a sense of urgency to achieve objectives while holding the team accountable for delivering exceptional client experiences.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead by example, creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
  • Maintain a professional and clean salon environment.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for team members.
  • Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
  • Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
  • Assist the Salon Director in controlling revenue and expenses.
  • Help maintain proper staffing levels to ensure productivity and excellent customer service while managing labor costs.
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to provide management coverage.
  • Reliable transportation to go to the bank as needed.
  • Expected work schedule is five days per week, approximately 40-45 hours, depending on status.

Experience & Skills:

  • College education preferred but not required.
  • Management and/or sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations effectively.
  • Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
  • Team-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend at the waist for cleaning and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to lift or assist in lifting heavy items.
  • Ability to bend down to pick up items from the floor.
  • Ability to perform cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
