Job Summary:

This role involves maintaining a high-energy, positive environment focused on client-centric service. The Assistant Salon Director supports store performance, fosters superior client service, and ensures operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. It includes managing and supervising Tanning Consultants, leading by example, and driving team accountability to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead by example in creating a client-focused experience and achieving sales targets.
  • Maintain a professional, clean salon environment.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for team members.
  • Coach, train, and provide feedback to improve team performance.
  • Generate sales reports, manage inventory, and assist with other managerial duties.
  • Support the Salon Director in revenue and expense control.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for productivity and service quality while managing labor costs.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required for management coverage.
  • Reliable transportation to perform banking and other duties.
  • Expected work schedule: five days per week, approximately 40-45 hours depending on employment status.

Experience & Skills:

  • College education preferred but not required.
  • Management and/or sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
  • Team-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and perform cleaning functions as needed.
