Job summary

GOLDEN PANTRY FOOD STORES INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager at our Athens location. You will support the store manager to maximize sales and profits while leading a front-line team in a busy retail setting.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational and operational skills, with hands-on responsibilities in daily store operations, cash handling, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail sales experience.
• 1 year of retail management preferred.
• Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Smile and greet all customers.
• Stand and/or walk up to eight or ten hours per day depending on shift.
• Read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth-grade level.
• Perform the four basic arithmetic operations to make change and manage cash registers.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stock shelves.
• Read measurements to 1/8 inch for fuel levels and shelves.
• Climb a ladder to access inventory and clean areas.
• Sweep and mop floors and maintain store cleanliness.
