Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Missouri LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store functions, help customers, and ensure merchandise is properly stocked and displayed.

The role includes opening/closing procedures, payroll/scheduling, loss prevention, training Store Associates, and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in store management in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, etc.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and maintain promotional displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and keeping records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, positive environment with professional customer interactions.
• Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
