Job summary
Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Steamboat Store retail rental shop. You will lead front-line staff, oversee transactions, stock levels, and merchandising while delivering high-quality guest service in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements include at least 2 years in retail, 1 year in guest service, cash handling, and some supervisory experience. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits and growth opportunities within the resort.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a related retail shop
- 1 year of guest service experience required
- Cash handling experience required
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Comfort with sales programs and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Shop Manager
- Manage front line shifts, ringing up retail sales, stock/store merchandising, and product knowledge
- Identify and supervise staff on equipment or facility maintenance projects
- Staff management including scheduling, training, teambuilding, coaching, and disciplinary action
- Communicate with guests regarding issues and concerns
- Maintain inventory levels in coordination with other shops
- Under Store Manager guidance, manage labor and expenses to meet budgets
- Other duties as assigned
