Job summary

Veronica Beard Miami Design District is seeking an Assistant Manager to help maximize sales and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will act as Manager-on-Duty in the GM’s absence, lead frontline staff, and uphold merchandising and visual standards on the sales floor.

You will train associates in product knowledge and selling skills, collaborate to meet performance goals, and ensure accurate cash handling and loss prevention practices. The role requires a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years retail management position/experience in women’s apparel.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Strong verbal and communication skills.
• Strong observation skills – identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, floor awareness, etc.
• Ability to retain and utilize data, i.e. names, merchandise, information, policies and procedures.
• Ability to create a quality working environment that will encourage others to develop and excel.
• Foster a work climate that inspires mutual trust, respect, professionalism and teamwork to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Assists Store Manager in maximizing sales and providing an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
• Serves as Store Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the General Manager.
• Supervises staff and maintains floor supervision to drive sales and standards.
• Protects store assets and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
