Job summary

Designer Brands in New York is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to safeguard assets, deter theft, and enforce store policies. You will promote loss prevention, monitor compliance, and cooperate with management to maintain a safe shopping environment.

Under the direction of the Loss Prevention Manager, you may train new associates on LP standards, assist in reporting incidents, and help recover stolen merchandise while upholding company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• Ability to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions.
• Must stand/walk sales floor for entire shift.
• Special State Police Officer (SSPO) is a plus.
• Knowledge of retail security camera equipment.

Responsibilities

• Train new associates on LP standards and theft deterrence.
• Recover stolen merchandise and apprehend shoplifters and fraud.
• Support store management to ensure a safe work environment.
• Prepare reports on theft incidents, recoveries, and safety.
