Overview

Penguin Random House is seeking a proactive and attentive Associate to support the Retail Advertising team. This job is an exciting opportunity to learn about how PRH leverages consumer search data to advertise on Amazon, and to play a key role in a fast-paced, ever-changing corner of the publishing industry.

This position sits within the PRH Online & Digital Sales Team, reporting to the Director, Online Retail Advertising. You will work collaboratively with a small but mighty team that plans, initiates, and optimizes Amazon Advertising campaigns for the entire Penguin Random House list. You will be responsible for setting up, managing, and optimizing search campaigns, providing crucial research and reporting for the team, and handling various administrative tasks. If you have great attention to detail and organizational skills, enjoy process and data-driven decision-making, and can adapt quickly in a fluid environment, then we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and optimizing a portfolio of Amazon Advertising PPC campaigns
  • Helping to research opportunities for new advertising campaigns using consumer search data
  • Performing data-entry tasks related to advertising campaign research, setup, management, and performance
  • Providing general administrative support, including organizing advertising data from a variety of sources, processing invoices, and collating campaign performance reports
  • Working and collaborating cross-departmentally with both Metadata and Online and Digital Sales teams
Qualifications
  • Two years of experience working in Book Publishing or Online Advertising, especially Amazon Sponsored Ads
  • Avid reader who stays up to date with reading trends
  • Superb attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
  • Willingness to ask questions, think strategically, and an eagerness to learn
  • Timely follow-up skills over email and phone and comfort navigating different styles of communication
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is $56,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
