A leading company seeking a Retail Account Executive to drive sales growth and improve vaccination rates. This role involves engagement with retail pharmacies and requires strong account management skills. The position demands expertise in vaccines and a history of successful sales in pharmaceuticals. A collaborative environment is emphasized, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
For more than 140 years, GSK has pioneered novel research methods and technologies to help protect people from infectious diseases. Our vaccines portfolio of more than 20 marketed vaccines is the broadest in the industry, helping to protect people throughout their lives. We believe prevention, at scale and for impact, is the best health investment for society, patients, and the economy. Vaccine-preventable diseases are a significant burden on society and healthcare systems; approximately $1 trillion in productivity is lost each year due to preventable conditions. This includes the impact from the 330,000 older adults hospitalized globally each year with RSV, the approximately 1 in 3 people who will develop shingles in their lifetime and the 3-11% of people infected with seasonal influenza each year. Our Vaccines portfolio will reach over 1 billion people globally this decade. Each year, around 40% of children globally receive a GSK vaccine and GSK is well-placed to lead in the growing adult immunization market.
The retail pharmacy setting has become a key access point for consumers and is the preferred vaccination site for many adults. Retail pharmacies are found in large, national drug chains, regional grocery outlets, mass-merchants and in independently owned stores. Within the top chains, there are approximately 36,000 outlets. Based on their location within communities, retail pharmacies have become important access points for adults seeking immunization.
The Retail Account Executive’s (RAE) customer ambition is to be a trusted partner focused on increasing immunization rates and protecting against vaccine-preventable diseases. The RAE represents GSK products and services through F2F and remote engagement with non-prescribing population health leaders. The RAE is responsible for achieving sales growth within their territory by utilizing high level account management skills when engaging with retail leadership to pull through strategic initiatives to
increase utilization of adult immunizations.
The RAE reports to the Area Field Vice President (FVP) and will be a key business partner to the Vaccines Ecosystem Lead (VEL). The RAE will serve as the retail pharmacy subject matter expert within the Area team. They will impact retail segment growth both directly through customer engagement and indirectly through coordination of pull through opportunities within the local ecosystems. Retail customer responsibility will be assigned based on market segmentation, geography, and VBU business needs.
