Description:

The Resuscitation Educator structures the learning environment to ensure positive student outcomes across various resuscitation courses and activities. They are involved in designing, delivering, evaluating, and coordinating best practice resuscitation activities for the education of BHSF staff requiring certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP, as part of their job requirements. Resuscitation educators are vital in meeting accreditation standards for resuscitation education in acute care hospitals. The focus of this role is the standardized delivery of resuscitation education across Baptist Health, serving as a mentor and role model for professionals, and developing new and existing instructors. The estimated pay range for this position is $34.59 - $44.97 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications:
  • Associates degree required; BS preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications:
    • AHA PALS Instructor Certification
    • Paramedic
    • Registered Nurse
    • AHA NRP Instructor Certification
    • AHA BLS Instructor Certification
    • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist
    • AHA ACLS Instructor Certification
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Licensure or certification in a healthcare-related field (Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapist) is required.
    • Minimum of 2 years of education-focused experience preferred.
    • Recent AHA instructor experience preferred.
    • Instructor certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS, and/or NRP across two or more disciplines are required.
    • Ability to lead classroom instruction and organize hands-on learning sessions in a multi-task environment.
    • Knowledge of course instruction and evaluation is preferred.
    • Candidates meeting experience and licensure requirements but lacking instructor certifications must obtain them within 90 days of hire.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • An associate degree holder has 5 years from the date of hire to complete their BS degree.

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years in education or related field.
