ExcelliSearch, Inc. is seeking an Associate Attorney in New York to join the Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Practice Group.

Hybrid location across the NY area, with opportunities to work on complex domestic and cross-border restructuring matters, distressed financings, and special situations transactions. The ideal candidate will have a JD from a top-tier law school, 3–7 years of experience in restructuring and related fields, and active bar admission.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3–7 years of substantive experience in restructuring, bankruptcy, and/or special situations finance transactions.
• Familiarity with Chapter 11 proceedings and liability management transactions.
• Experience representing creditors, debtors, sponsors, or financial institutions in distressed scenarios.
• Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Large law firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in complex restructuring and insolvency matters, in-court and out-of-court.
• Advise creditors, debtors, and investors in distressed and special situations financings.
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, restructuring support agreements, and related transaction documents.
• Support liability management transactions, recapitalizations, and distressed M&A opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, corporate, and litigation attorneys.
