This position is offered in Apple’s Environmental Technologies group within Apple’s Hardware Engineering division.
Responsibilities will include leading programs orchestrating the work of a globally dispersed team and working with intern customers to drive proven results in product compliance assessment of chemicals and materials used in our products and demonstration of company's environmental achievements.
We look at you to lead supervise and inform internal teams on restricted substances requirements driven by Global Regulations and Standards. Building a nuanced understanding of regulatory trends and best available science to identify chemicals of concern in various materials and electronics products in order to drive voluntary restriction programs will be another key responsibility at this role.
Partnering with external vendors on details of the use of materials identifying substances that should be removed due to their hazardous properties and supporting execution of phase‑out programs. Supporting revision of environmental specifications conducting supporting analysis to restrict substances with potential human health or environmental impacts and suggesting improvements and implementing restrictions and driving phase‑out initiatives.
You will be responsible for developing execution strategy and plans demonstrating success through reporting and analytics process and procedure definition and documentation business requirement definition for systems and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to build on a solid foundation to drive excellence in execution.
Bachelors/Masters in engineering chemistry materials science or related field
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131500 and $243300 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
