Houston Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is seeking a part-time ReStore Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse operations, pricing, stocking, and merchandising of donated items at the Houston store.

The role involves coordinating with volunteers, assisting customers, handling inventory and cashier duties as needed, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–3 years of retail or warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail experience; home improvement sales is a plus.
• At least 6 months in a warehouse setting.
• Basic math skills and cash register use.
• Able to work with limited supervision and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Price donated merchandise according to guidelines.
• Direct and assist volunteers with daily warehouse activities.
• Clean, inspect, stock, and organize showroom merchandise.
• Maintain clean and organized warehouse, staging, aisles, and parking areas.
• Assist with inventory and merchandise organization.
• Document damaged items and obtain Store Manager approval before disposal.
• Provide customer assistance, including locating merchandise.
• Identify and report safety concerns and follow procedures.
• Provide backup cashier coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty (MOD).
